The Brief

The client Jeddah Central Development (JCD), under Saudi Vision 2030, commissioned a flagship cultural project on the Red Sea coast: the Jeddah Opera House. The ambition was to create a world-class performance complex of 32,000 m², integrating advanced building systems to achieve exceptional comfort, acoustics, and energy efficiency.

Our Approach

Designed with Henning Larsen Architects, the project team implemented high-performance HVAC, advanced ventilation strategies, and smart BMS technologies. I contributed in developing the systems up to Load 500 stage and performed design reviews to ensure compliance with performance, coordination, and sustainability targets.

The Outcome

The Opera House delivers a landmark cultural facility with optimized indoor comfort, precise acoustic control, and reduced energy consumption. The integration of smart building technologies supports long-term operational efficiency, aligning with Vision 2030’s sustainability and cultural goals.
