Central Station Wayfinding Upgrade
Design and coordination of the illuminated wayfinding and gate-line layout for a major station hall, balancing passenger flow with strict cable-routing constraints.
Design and coordination of the illuminated wayfinding and gate-line layout for a major station hall, balancing passenger flow with strict cable-routing constraints.
Situation
Peak-hour passenger flows were stalling at the gate line, and the legacy signage contradicted itself at every decision point.
Action
We remodelled the hall, simulated the flows, and repositioned the gate arrays and overhead signage as one coordinated system. Every sign, camera and cable tray lives in the federated model.
Results
Gate-line throughput rose measurably in the first month, and the maintenance team now works from the model instead of twenty legacy drawings.
