Harbour Site Logistics Hub

4D site-logistics planning for a constrained harbour-edge megaproject: stacked site offices on a piled jetty, crane zones, and delivery slots modelled week by week.

Situation

A landmark construction site squeezed between a protected brick warehouse and open water, with no lay-down area at all.

Action

We modelled the temporary works — the piled jetty, three-storey stacked site offices, crane envelopes — and ran the delivery schedule as a 4D simulation to find the clashes between trades before they happened on the quay.

Results

Peak-phase deliveries ran at 40 trucks a day through a single gate without stopping the trades.
