Heritage Quarter Restoration

Scan-to-BIM survey and phased restoration of a 17th-century institutional quadrangle, from slate roof repairs to stone facade conservation.

Situation

A protected structure with almost no reliable drawings and three centuries of undocumented alterations.

Task

Produce a dependable record model and sequence the restoration so the building could stay partially occupied.

Action

We laser-scanned the full quadrangle and modelled the existing fabric at LOD 300, tagging every stone repair and roof intervention against the conservation report.

Results

The record model is now the single source for all future maintenance contracts.

Reflection

On heritage work, the survey model IS the deliverable — everything else hangs off it.
